"Learn How to Choose The Right Network Marketing (MLM) Company for you!"
So, you're considering Network Marketing (MLM) either for the first time or once again. Let me be the first to tell you, if you haven't already learned, your success in the Network Marketing industry will not be Get-Rich-Quick(GRQ). At best, it will be get-rich-slow, which is much better than get-rich-NEVER (like your J.O.B.), If you take the following seriously. Here are some questions to ask yourself in this order... 1. Find a Good Sponsor: This is important because you need to work with someone you like, respect and trust. What do you know about this person? Are they a friend or family member? How did you meet them? Can you Google them and find out more about them? They don't have to be the top money earning in the company, or just someone who knows and cares about where you are, where you want to go, and is willing to map out a highly customized game plan for you. Did you like the way they approached you about the business? Can you see yourself duplicating it? If not, do they offer you other options that better suit you personality, skill level and style? Don't let anyone tell you that they won't work with you if you don't do things their way. If you don't like talking in front of people, don't, if your religion keeps you from the Saturday trainings...tell them you'll catch the pod cast another day. This is, after all, your Network Marketing business and you had to be an adult to sign the contract to start so act like it. Your up-line may be a seasoned vet, or they may have started just days before you, so learn everything you can and pick what fits your style. Any good sponsoring is one who is willing hear you out. 2. The Products/ Services: Do you already use the stuff you'll be selling? Is it a must that you are a user of the end products/ services you will be marketing to your network. If not, you are living outside of integrity which people will be able to tell from a mile away! Is it in the health industry (pills/ drinks), Is it something that has/will personally help you and? Is the market for it limitless or will it be on the selves @ Walmart in a few months/years? Is there a gender or income bias inherent in the product? In other words, is it for women only/primarily? Do you have to already be a homeowner to benefit, or is it a necessity like a phone or internet service? Now, within Network Marketing there is a ton of money in niche markets like make-up, jewelry, etc. however, even having the best sponsoring in the world won't help you overcome a "niche" product that is marketed only to a small percent of the population unless you are passionate about it already. All that matters is that the product/service hold real value and provides a solution to the end consumer. That is the basic ingredient to long-term success. Most important is the marketing system. Thats what sells your company's products. 3. The company: How long has it been around? Who are the co-founders, what are their backgrounds? Is it in Network Marketing(MLM)? Has the company ever been sold? How big is the company foot print, is it a national or international operation? If you are new to Network Marketing, I suggest you stay clear of the start-ups. If you have been around the block or has ever had a company close it's doors on you, or get sold out from under you, you know why that is important. Most legit companies will be listed with the Better Business Bureau and the Direct Sales Association. So, forget the words 'Network Marketing' for a moment and focus on the word business. Here are a few clarifying questions that might help. - Is the Network Marketing company you are considering delivering a real product or just moving money with no product or service (illegal pyramid)?
- Does that product help people achieve meaningful goals?
- Do you understand how the business works?
- Could you explain the business to your best friend and be comfortable?
- WOULD you share the business with your best friend and still be comfortable in the friendship?
- Are they documented, in any major business magazines, newspapers, or (network marketing) industry specific publications? Don't just take the companies word for it, Get some third party documentation! If you answered yes to all of these questions you have the beginning of a basis to go into a business. If not, run. "The greatest benefit this industry provides is not the money, the time, or even the friendship you will inevitably make. It is the person you will become."Choosing the right sponsor, the right product mix, company with a great marketing system can only help you reach you goals faster but those things won't ultimately determine you result. You must make the decision to help others even if you don't know everything. You and the strengths you bring to the table are the only unknown factors in the equation and they alone will determine if you will success were many others have tried and failed. Based on all of that, I'd like to share with you three keys that I believe can help you succeed this business and beyound. 1. KNOW YOURSELF The good thing about the Internet is that there are so many different ways to make money. And the bad thing about the Internet is that there are so many different ways to make money. ;) So what's a girl (or boy) to do? Know yourself. Respond to what feels right, what sounds right to you. Remember what you learned as a youth -- if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Nowhere is that more true that on the Internet where scams and snake-oil salesmen abound. So, how *specifically* does 'knowing yourself' help you succeed with Network Marketing? Here's how. If you are losing sleep over the ability to pay your bills and need some very fast money you may be much better off getting a second job for a while than 'starting an online Network Marketing business'. I know -- that's not the advice you are used to hearing. But it's the advice I would give my daughter. There ARE situations where trading time for money makes *very* good sense - times where the efforts you make MUST bring a return or you will lose everything. A bird in the hand still beats two in the bush, and making any real money online (or anything worth while) when you are just starting out is simple but not easy. The truth you are not being told is that the "overnight success" "here's a picture of my PayPal account" "look at my shiny new race car" stories which are by FAR the exception ... IF they are even telling the truth. You know that in your gut, so trust yourself when the voice in your head says "better think twice". Here's another example. If you are staying up until the wee hours of the morning viewing site after site that sound too good to be true then you are headed for trouble. Someone is about to pick your pocket. It might be with the promise of huge commissions or of doing all the work for you (why would they do that?) but one way or the other they are going to take your money. So be careful. Very careful. 2. GET OFF THE OPPORTUNITY TREADMILL What does that mean? It means stop looking for the next big thing and start looking for the next real thing. Specifically, if a business you are considering does not make sense to you but is asking you to 'trust them' please don't. Business online is just like business offline. Those who stick with things succeed. Those who jump around don't. Nowhere is this more evident that in network marketing. I've read, but not confirmed, that the average person starting out in network marketing stays with the program they choose for less than 90 days. My friend, no one succeeds at business (or anything big) in less than 90 days ... especially if they are doing that business part time. 3. FOCUS To succeed in Network Marketing or any business (or life for that matter) you willhave to focus on *one* thing at a time. * Focus your attention * Focus your resources * Focus your passion * Focus your time
If you learn to focus your resources in this way on *one* thing and prove that it is for you (or that it is not for you) you will succeed faster. Period. How can you focus? Think of something you want to accomplish. It might be a business you are considering or a new site you want to build or a way to advertise a product. Now examine that from the outside in and then theinside out and then examine it again. Ask questions. Be a skeptic. Check out testimonials tobe sure they are real. Ask people who have succeededwith the idea you are pursuing. Now go further and Google something about the person/ company tosee what people are saying and to check the validity of any business you might be considering. Once you *know* that you want to move ahead take actionand give it your all. Only then can you know what will work for you! One last word - the fact that something doesn't workthe first time does not mean that it will not work. No where is this more evident than in the world of Network Marketing where beginning Networkers wrongly think they can get one customer or recruit one person and succeed. Professional Networkers know that it takes testing - and patience - to make a business work. If your first attempt at something fails consider analyzing why and trying again before moving on to something else. Use your focus to discover how to do better on the next try. The list of people who failed on their first try (of multiple tries i.e. the light bulb) and then went on to greatness is huge so there is a chance for you still even in Network Marketing.
