MLM Success Has Nothing to Do With Your Products, Compensation Plan Or Your Company

There are a lot of awesome products and companies with poor representation. People who just treat their business like a cheap date. Passing it off as some some "hit em and split" one night stand. Saying things like psssst...look over here, "Our comp plan is the greatest...", "Our products sell them selves...", "Our team literally EXPLODED overnight or, "Make money faster here..." etc. What message are you giving potential prospects? What quality are the people who jump at that type of hype?

So what really matters? What are your potential customers and business partners really looking for when evaluating a product, service or business opportunity?

It has to do with the people who call themselves representatives of that company. Particularly the ones who call themselves leaders.

Once a company is legit, the only thing it comes down to is the quality of the people doing the networking.

It gives people the wrong idea of "get rich quick" (GRQ). And we are all responsible. Even some of the posts in this thread are border line.

I was just reading the "PROMOTE HERE" thread under the "MONEY" forum on Myspace where this guy posted (what I think is) a bogus thread.

It says he and his huge team were suddenly displaced because the MLM company that they represented went out of business. It seemed like he was shopping for a new sponsor...on the surface.

Except when you re-read the last statement.

It was fishy...to me. Seemed like he was bating. Many took the bate.

He has throngs of desperate Network Marketers saying, "oh, sorry to hear that...now join my busy here at www.myrepsite.com/rep ####".

Unprofessional and tacky.

That's the main problem with Network Marketing today, and why success in MLM is elusive to 95%+.

It's pitched as a business any and everyone can do so we attract many who has no business being in business.

No sales skills, no networking skills, no marketing skills yet we are called "Network Marketers".

Just throwing mud against the wall hoping something sticks and someone will just get in.

In other professions that pay the type of money network marketing pays (or at least can pay), no one else markets like that!

Top earning physicians, speakers, lawyers, do not promote their business like that.

You will never see a dentist out prospecting everyone with teeth.

Why should we?

Today, success in your MLM business come down to some basic principles:

1. Solving other people's problems. 2. Your willingness to give without want before you can get. 3. Increasing your value to the world by acquiring knowledge and skills that others want, but are unwilling to acquire. 4. Reaching masses of people with these solutions, skills, and abilities through marketing.

Also, if you are leading with your company or business first when ever you come in contact with people they will definitely smell commission on your breath and they are not having it.

With the application of attracting marketing principles to your MLM/ network marketing business regardless of what company, product or service your represent you will excel where many others fail even with a mediocre compensation plan.

So, if you have a profile, article or post anywhere that is just a blatant pitch about your "amazing new company" and their "revolutionary, earth shattering new product launch" or their "crazy spill over matrix comp plan"... delete it.

People want to know if you can help them solve their problems. Problems you won't know they have unless you ask, listen carefully and not be afraid of saying "No" first if they don't fit who you are looking to partner with.

They will have more respect for you and, you will feel better about not *pimping* your business like a cheap trick.

It's less important which company you choose to partner with and more important the people you will be doing business with. That way if the company does happen to close you, as a leader can just lead the masses to the new frontier and even increase your success in MLM with out skipping a beat.
