What Can Japanese Pearl Farmers Teach You About Lead Seduction?

Years ago the Japanese realized that pearls are a result of an exact process. Knowing this it made sense to study that process because if you desire to control the result, all you had to do was define and control the relevant process for predictable results.

The cultured pearl industry was created.

The only real difference between the cultured pearl and “natural” one was that one was the result of a random uncontrolled process and the other was a series of a deliberate, controlled processes.

Other than that creating a pearl had the same process.

The oyster, once a grain of some sort enter its shell it would coat it with a substance called nacre until it was no longer irritated.

What’s interesting is that the traditional pearl divers would take on a danger risky good of opening thousands upon thousands of oysters, largely with disappointment, for the sole purpose of finding a pearl.

While the pearl farmer only opens oysters to start a process: developing a relationship between the irritant and the oyster.

With the way of the diver the process is risky and hard with the way of the farmer it’s predictable and simple as long as you are disciplined!

What do these principles mean in terms of your networking business?

It means that like the oyster diver, most traditional MLM trainers and systems put the result, sponsoring a next bonus check distributor (finding a pearl) above developing the relationship and building value over time (starting a process that develops a pearl).

Are you still doing the same oyster diver tactics online as well as offline? Spamming forums, making dishonest claims, promising the easy button or giving low/no value information? Still pitching your business or company as the latest or greatest and still your potential prospects are unresponsive?

You’ll need to super human strength to surmount the rejection that is built into the randomized prospecting methods still taught by most companies and sponsors. Even so, just like the oyster diver you'll keep coming up with little more than a stinking pile of... poo all around you more often than not.

All of your content must be focused on building a relationship by implanting powerful irritants into your prospects minds and reinforcing the repeatedly so that pearl can begin to form and grow. It develops until finally, they emerge as a pearl ready to buy from you or join you in business.

Because this is a subtle process it can take weeks, months and even years in some cases. But, because the process is sound it’s a matter of WHEN not IF.

This principles encapsulates the principle of Lead Seduction.
