InterNetwork Marketing and Other Terms Defined

If you are new to Internetwork marketing, Internet marketing, or just the concept of building an online business it can get confusing.

Most people will talk to you using terminology they think you are or should be familiar with already when you really have no clue!

Has that happened to you already? (may even on this site)

After I defined a few key words, it all made more sense. so as I learn them and come across others I will share them here with you.

Affiliate Programs: products and services you can refer to others, market or re-sell for profit like amazon.com, some credit card companies and many e-books. For more thorough explanation click here now.
Auto-responder: An automated, professional email campaign response system. This allows you to easily build an effective way to keep in constant contact with your existing customers and clients. Cold Market: Those you interrupt to give unsolicitedinformation to. Could also be from the warm market list.

Copywriting: Referred to as the million dollar skill in marketing, it's simply the way you put your words together on your website or letters.

Domain Hosting: Internet real estate. This is the actualstore front on the Internet. You can buy a domain name (store sign)and not have hosting (store/building) but you can not have hosting with out first having a domain name.

Domain Name: It what you would find after the www for awebsite. e.i., www.DOMAIN-NAME.com. Think of it as the "sign" that goes on the front of a store. for more about domain names click here now.

Fear: False Evidence Appearing Real; give in to its power and youfail.

Funded Proposal: A retail, low cost yet high valueinformation/ "How To" product used to generate highly targeted,well trained prospects and also generate income on the front end.

InterNetwork Marketing: Natural integration of the Internet,social networking, the Law of Attraction and Network Marketing.

Lead: a potential customer, client or business partner.

Lead Capture Page: a mini site or a page of a larger sitedesignated for one purpose only: collect a potential customer orprospects contact information. It is also referred to as a Squeeze Page or Landing Page. To learn more and get one FREE click here now

Reverse Marketing: Contacting someone from their adverts or marketing in an effort to recruit them or market your business or its products/services. To evaluate if this type of marketing is right for you click here now>>.

Social Networking: Online sites that allow you to post acustomizable page including pictures with help you to connectglobally. Some examples: Myspace, Tagged, Squidoo, FaceBook,Yahoo360, LinkedIn.

Target Market: a group(s) of people who have shown an eager willingness to purchase what you are selling. If someone has already purchased a similar product/service related to what you are selling or actively seeking information on it, they are your target market.

URL: The http:// plus the www.domain-name togetherequals the web-site URL.

Warm Market: People who know you or you know personally.These have different sources: i.e. a family member, currentco-workers, close friends. Or those who have done business with you and trust you: Your hair stylist, Mechanic, your customers, people who request information from you.

Web 2.0: Interactive Internet. At one point you could only read a website/page now you can upload unique content like comments, pictures, videos, reviews etc. to express you own personality with out any technical expertise. This technology is what social networks like YouTube, Myspace, Facebook, LinkedIn, Squidoo and others are based on.
