"Why No One Gives A Hoot About How Great Your Industry Is"
Regardless of how huge, great and lucrative an industry may be, no one cares unless you can show them how they can experience it. Time and time again people will talk about trillion and billion dollar industries that many, many people are failing miserably in. Real estate is a great example. As much of a necessity housing is why would anyone who simply participates not make a fair piece of the pie? Some will do well, other become financially independent and a few flat out wealthy while others fail dismally. Obviously it's not because of the industry So Why Do We Keep Talking About It?We talk about how many millionaires a company or industry has, how great the product is and how vast the business opportunity is because we are afraid to admit to others we are not the leader they should follow. We want to impress people with the sheer potential of their income if they join us in business because we can't actually show any proof with in ourselves that we are really making it happen fir ourselves. Thats why we always point the finger to the latest, greatest, faster growing industry, company or even another successful person in the company instead of at ourselves. We really lack confidence in our own abilities to be successful so it's difficult to attract any potential business partners based on our own merit and talent because we don't have any. We haven't developed ourselves as the example we want to show others so we divert people's attention to the industry/company/other successful leader. Unfortunately we are doing ourselves a disservice because people are looking for leaders in people not companies nor industries. Why? Because people make up companies and companies make industries not the the way around! If you are unsuccessful, you can not lead others to be successful and being unsuccessful even while representing a great company/industry/products doesn't suddenly save you from being a poor example. So what do you do so you don't have to hide behind the greatness and success of anyone or anything other than yourself? How do you become the leader others are attracted to and want to follow to success? Simply focus on learning a valuable skill and master it to the point where you can teach it to others. Once you do that you become your own testimony and the success of he who you trained becomes a case study; an example that you know your stuff. For example, I had no idea, not long ago, how to build a website for automated lead generation(nor anything else). So I learned it with time, a little HTML coaching, and a few long nights of reading and doing. Then I others who were looking to do the same thing so I showed them the way. That is what your potential prospects really want; a leader who will take them by the hand and say, "I can show you the way to success. Not the Industry, company, or even my upline!" This is not to imply that you are an Island or you will never need any help. All i am saying is that it is time for you to step up to the plate and be the interdependent leader you were created to be. Do the thing you want to teach others to be, master it like a fine art and then...there will be no need to point to how great your industry because that will not determine your potential prospects success, the skills you can teach them will. Your potential partners only care about how great they can become and they want to work with the one who can show them that. You must get great at the things your partners will need to master because can not give what you do not have. If you enjoyed this article you will love Magnetic Sponsoring written by Mike Dillard!
