What If You Couldn't Mention Your Company's Name While Prospecting?

What would you talk about then? How would you approach the conversation differently than you do now? I used to start off My three way calls (when I was the "expert") with about 2 sentences of small talk. That was my version of "relating" to the prospect.
My very next sentences would start like this, "Well Kathy, the name of our company is____ and we are the largest blah, blah, blah." To me I was great but, to the prospect...
Well the proof was in the dismal turn out to the business opportunity meetings.
Next time you are about to prospect a potential client or customer think about this: What if you could not mention the name, products/services of your company or business?
What would you talk about then? How different would you have to communicate? I suggest to you that you think about that for a moment because the answer is your break through you've been searching for in enrolling customers and subsequently, new sales associates for your home based business.
Here why.... Your potential customers/associates don't give a hoot what the name of your company is, when it got started or what the *latest-greatest* widget you're promoting this week as much as most sales people think they do.
What They do care about is HOW what you have can help them get what they want.
Next time you get the urge to approach someone where it's online or offline, ask yourself this: "What does what I have help people to do?"
Your company's name may even be a turn off to your potential prospect.
If your with an older, more well-known HBB like Herballife with wonderful, helpful products, you could be shooting yourself in the foot leading with your company/product name.
However if you were to discover, though asking a few key questions, a problem a potential prospect may have you could easily suggest a how a key ingredient in a particular product could solve the problem.
At that point the name won't matter. The only thing your prospect will know s you have a possible solution to fill their wants and needs.
If you couldn't mention your company's name or product you will begin to focus on what really matters to your prospects: "How can you, your product/service/ business help me?"
Think about this when you out networking online, posting in forums, even sending emails to promote your self and your business.

**********Hot Tip Of The Week********** Join industry specific social networks where you can network with more targeted traffic for both your primary business as well as your affiliate programs.
I recently joined 2 new social networks called www.homebasedbusiness.com and www.recessioncrusher.com. The response has been great and the networking is fun.
Just do yourself a favor and don't spam anyone about your business. It doesn't attract good quality leads, if any and it is tacky! **********Hot Tip Of The Week**********
